Purpose of the Position
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a focused, corporate-minded Sales Manager based in Gauteng to spearhead revenue growth, gross profit maximization, and premium retention specifically within their Direct Sales Division. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be required to be able to operate at an executive level, ensuring that the sales ecosystem is performance-driven, measurable, and highly accountable. This position is entirely accountable for scaling direct enterprise and mid-market account acquisition, driving Managed Services (MSP) annuity revenue (MRC), and instilling rigid pipeline discipline across the corporate sales team.
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities
- Corporate Revenue Focus: Meet and exceed individual and team-level monthly, quarterly, and annual Revenue and GP targets, with a primary focus on Monthly Recurring Cost (MRC) annuity streams.
- Strategic Account Management: Direct management and strategic expansion of the business's Top 100 enterprise customers, alongside a dedicated framework to grow mid-market accounts into high-value clients.
- Direct Sales Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coach the corporate account executives. Establish clear targets, KPIs, and proactive performance management structures, addressing team underperformance formally and swiftly.
- Solution Architecting Support: Drive team pipeline generation focusing on large-scale direct solutions: Hybrid Cloud, Security Architectures (SOC/SIEM/Next-Gen Firewalls), Connectivity (SD-WAN architectures), and large-scale Microsoft environments.
- Governance & Approvals: Enforce absolute CRM hygiene, validate deal costings/GP metrics, and ensure zero reliance on verbal agreements through formal, documented approval workflows before operations handovers.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, IT, or a related field (Mandatory).
Experience
- Must be permanently based in Gauteng and available for face-to-face enterprise client engagements across the province (Mandatory).
- Minimum 8–10 years of high-level corporate direct sales experience within an ICT/MSP ecosystem (Mandatory).
- Minimum of 5 years successfully managing and leading corporate sales teams (Mandatory).
- Highly successful background specifically in enterprise account management, corporate hunting frameworks, and complex corporate contract negotiations.
Technical & Licensing Acumen
- Thorough knowledge of corporate IT procurement landscapes and mid-market customer buying behaviors.
- Strong technical baseline across Cloud IaaS architectures, corporate connectivity systems (Fibre, 5G, SD-WAN), and corporate security stacks.
- Full commercial understanding of Microsoft Licensing metrics (CSP/SPLA).
